The Season Finale

Hi All,

The Derby Phoenix 2010 Championship comes to a close this weekend, 18-19 September, at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire (sorry the site has had Snetterton down all season?).

Although the Championship has been won, the remaining positions have yet to be decided, leading to a great finale to the Season. Make yourself a picnic and come along and join us........

Cheers Jagger

Ps If you're really keen you can always camp over and enjoy a pint or two in the bar with us on Saturday night - I'm on Guinness thanks!

FANTASY RIDERS: ROUND 22

The league table after round 22 of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders 2010 League can be seen above (click image to enlarge). Darren had his lead cut to 101 points from Stuart, who moved back into second place on 1516 points, with Graham third on 1490.

The MotoGP race at Misano was overshadowed by the tragic death of Japanese Moto2 rider Shoya Tomizawa. Coming just a week after rising 13 year old American star Peter Lenz was killed in a support race at the Indy MotoGP round, Tomizawa succumbed to his injuries after an awful accident which also involved Alex de Angelis and Scott Redding. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the families and friends of Peter and Shoya.

Dani Pedrosa won at Misano ahead of Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi.

In World Superbikes at the Nürburgring, Jonathan Rea took victory in race one ahead of Carlos Checa and Cal Crutchlow, with Noriyuki Haga taking the race two win ahead of Rea and Leon Haslam.

Round 23 of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders League takes place in next weekend as BSB's new 'Title Showdown' begins at Croft. With just 20 points now separating the six 'Title Fighters' there is all to play for in the battle for the title. See the Fantasy Riders website for further updates.

Brookes' HM Plant Honda team mate Ryuichi Kiyonari took third in both races.

Round 22 of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders League takes place in next weekend as MotoGP heads back across the Atlantic to Misano and World Superbikes resume after the summer break at Germany's famous Nürburgring. See the Fantasy Riders website for further updates.

FANTASY RIDERS: ROUND 20

The league table after round twenty of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders 2010 League can be seen above (click image to enlarge). Graham was top scorer this week with 37 points, and closed the gap on league leader Darren to 94 points. Darren is now on 1416 points ahead of Graham on 1322 with Stuart third on 1309.

Runaway MotoGP series leader Jorge Lorenzo rode another faultless race at Brno in the Czech Republic, leading the race at the end of lap one and pulling out a gap to control the race from the front. Dani Pedrosa was unable to mount an attack on Lorenzo and finished in second place. Casey Stoner had to bide his time before being able to move into third position and by that time the two leaders were too far ahead for him to challenge them.

Round 21 of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders League takes place in two weeks as MotoGP returns to Indianapolis and British Superbikes head for the undulating Cadwell Park circuit. See the Fantasy Riders website for further updates.

FANTASY RIDERS: ROUND 19

The league table after round nineteen of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders 2010 League can be seen above (click image to enlarge). Darren maintained his lead at the top of the table on 1386 points ahead of Graham, who has regained second place, on 1285, Stuart on 1279 and Paul on 1253.

World Superbike rider Tom Sykes made a wildcard appearance in the Brands Hatch BSB round triple header and made a big impact, especially in the two Sunday races, where he took two wins. On Saturday Alastair Seeley took his debut BSB victory in a rain-affected race, ahead of Michael Rutter and Ryuichi Kiyonari. Sunday's first race was red-flagged after an incident on lap five that left Australian Andrew Pitt with a broken collarbone. Sykes took the win with Kiyonari and Tommy Hill. Sykes then rounded off an impressive day with another win in race three, just ahead of Kiyo with Rutter third.

The championship is now led by Ryuichi Kiyonari with 249 points – seven ahead of ahead of Tommy Hill and and ten ahead of Josh Brookes. After a strong weekend, Michael Rutter moves to fourth overall.

Round 20 of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders League takes place next weekend as MotoGP returns at Brno in the Czech Republic, where it seems increasingly likely that Valentino Rossi will announce his move to Ducati for next season. See the Fantasy Riders website for further updates.
